In response to Hmmmm posted by paymb26:

O.K. it WAS a good parody, but not a parody of Sci-fi, instead it was rather a one note parody of Star Trek (which admittedly is wide open for parody).

I should also make mention of the Hitchhikers guide movie. Firstly let me mention how much I treasure the book series, and even the BBC radio version, they literally changed the way I look at the world.

But unfortunately the movie was a confusing bastardization of something which I hold very dear to my heart. The concept was good but in true Hollywood fashion it was simply too much (too many writers, too many special effects, and too little understanding of the book).
